On Friday, 30 May 2025, the 5th annual Vatech 3D Meeting took place in Prague. Together with our partners, we explored new opportunities in dental radiology through practical demonstrations and case studies.

Key differences and pathological findings
Mats Säll is a dentist and specialist in maxillofacial radiology. Since 2019, he has been working as a specialist at Konekta AB in Sweden and also works as a senior consultant radiologist at the ENT department at St. Olavs University Hospital in Trondheim.
In his lecture, Mats Säll outlined the advantages of 3D imaging compared to 2D imaging in cases where diagnosis might be ambiguous due to lack of information. If you are interested in Mats Säll, you can see him again at the 1st Vatech Conference in Warsaw.

Is CBCT changing the rules of the game?
Jan Šmíd is the third generation of dentists in the family. He focuses on complex dental treatment, especially dental surgery, implantology and microscopic endodontics. He emphasizes precise diagnostics and uses the latest technology for maximum treatment success.
In his lecture he revealed his secrets for successful planning. He also focused on the effective use of 3D imaging to optimize his patient care. We also collaborated with Jan Šmíd on a video where he presented his practice.
MDDr. Jakub Magát
Autotransplantation and tooth segmentation
Jakub Magát, MDDr. graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in 2008. In his practice he focuses on a painless and gentle approach based on the latest scientific knowledge. His lecture focused on unique segmentation and autotransplantation of teeth.
The doctor presented what autotransplantation is, how to plan it using Vatech software, when to use it effectively and safely, and what are the possible complications with this type of treatment. MDDr. Jakub Švejda
Guided implantology in practice
Jakub Švejda is a graduate of LFP UK and works as a senior doctor at the Nerudovka Dental Centre in Pilsen, where he is dedicated to comprehensive patient care using modern digital technologies. He specializes mainly in prosthetics and surgery, including implantology.
In his lecture, he presented the basics of fully and partially navigated implantology, including planning, possibilities of template production, advantages and disadvantages of digital technology, including case studies from his own practice as a general dentist.
